Veroniques Closet's Fashion Corner
Hi my name is Ky and I'm the CEO of Veroniques Closet. I decided to start this blog to talk about past, current, and future fashions. Now, I might not always be on point with the fashions because I've always followed my own, but you’re welcome to read my fashion opinions anyway. While you're at it, view the unique woman's fashion I sell in my boutique, Veroniques Closet www.veroniquescloset.com. Fashion for every body type
Fashion for every body type
The Pear.
Those possessing a pear shaped figure are
bigger around the hips, thighs, and bottom. Balance can be achieved by wearing
bold, bright tops, boat-neck tops, and large collars, all of which offset full
hips. Tight fitting jeans and trousers should be avoided, such as skinny jeans,
pencil or fishtail skirts, and any curve fitting fabric (like silk). Dark, wide
legged pants create slimming, longer silhouettes, as do tapered A-line skirts.
The Strawberry.
The Strawberry, or
inverted triangle, body type is larger in the bust area with broad shoulders,
and narrower in the hips and thighs. A balanced wardrobe is the goal, so try
wearing full or flared skirts, and wide legged jeans and trousers. Using
cinched belts around the waist will draw the eye downward. Wrap tops and
v-necks compliment a fuller bust, and colored pants draw attention away from
the upper body. Avoid shoulder pads and tapering trousers, light colored
clothing, high-necked and flowing tops. Wednesday, June 5, 2013
New Trend - Sailor Shorts.
So, sailors seem to be in!
Sailor shorts that is!
The sailor trend is something I've always been a fan of. I'm ecstatic it's coming back in style.
How would you wear these shorts? **as these pictures came from www.collegefashion.net, the shorts on their site was no longer available hence pictures were taken down from their site. You can still see pictures of the shorts from my store www.veroniquescloset.com **
Shorts, Top, Clutch, Sandals, Alternate Sandals, Bracelet, Earrings
Shorts, Sweatshirt, Sandals, Alternate Sandal, Bag, Necklace, Earrings, Nail Polish
Personally, I think I would do combo 1 minus the bracelet.
For those who are not into shorts, there are always sailor leggings!

Holiday Style
Trying to plan a perfect outfit for that upcoming holiday party? We're here to help! We've been looking at all the hottest holiday styles for you to check out here at Veronique's Closet and we've come up with a few outstanding options for you to choose from!
1) According to Harpers Bazaar, bust out all the white you packed away after Labor Day, because this holiday season, white is back and fiercer than ever! Give the angels a run for their money in a stunning white pantsuit with white heels and make it pop with red accessories. (After all, one can never look too festive, right?)
2) Peplums! Bring back that retro 50's glam by playing up your waistline and letting your curves shine!
3) In keeping with the Retro Trend, lace coverings are making a comeback. Avoid the gloves (unless your channeling 80s Madonna) but instead, rock a mini dress covered in black lace and be sure to sport sky high heels and ruby red lips to complete the look.
4) Instead of the ever popular "LBD", why not rock a champagne colored frock at the office party and dare to stand out? Accessorize with lots of nude/pearl accessories and ake it an old fashioned glamorous Christmas to Remember!
5) Shorts! They aren't just for summer anymore. Whether you want to wear long, board type shorts or teeny ones to cover certain areas, make sure you go monochromatic and let the top match the bottom. Not only will you look longer and leaner by doing this, but you can also avoid combining red and green and looking like one of Santa's elves.
That's it for now. Happy Holidays, and Happy Shopping ;)
