Barely There Makeup for Pale Beauties

Despite tan skin being all the rage these days, sometimes genetics just doesn't cooperate! For fellow fair skinned ladies such as myself, here are 5 fail safe tips to a perfectly made up face that looks naturally flawless!

Step 1- Apply ivory or buff-colored liquid foundation that blends into the skin. Just remember,  to go lightly, a little often goes a long way, especially on pale skinned ladies. If your unsure of how pale you may or may not be, check this pic to the right:

Step 2- Be sure to cover up any zits, redness, or blotchiness with skin concealer! When dealing with a fair complexion, a pink or peach based concealer works best.

Step 3- Speaking of pinks and peaches, choosing a blush in one of these hues would be best. If your unsure of how to find the blush that would best compliment your skin, lightly pinch your cheeks for 5-10 seconds to bring out your natural flush.

Step 4- If your going for a natural "no makeup" look, then be sure to play up your eyes with neutral eyeshadows and either a neutral or very pale liner. Beiges, nudes, champagnes, even some pale pink shades are ideal for this. If you have blue eyes, yellow would be a great color. If your peepers are brown, stick with the champagnes and taupes. If your eyes are hazel, use pale purples and pinks to bring out the green. Use a brown or clear mascara for that final touch to make the eyes really pop. Black mascaras and liners can actually make the eyes appear smaller.

Step 5- A pale pink pout would be the perfect finishing touch to the facial masterpiece you've just created. If color really isn't your thing, top off your kisser with a neutral gloss and voila! Look like your not wearing any makeup at all!
